Why did they leave a pile of Stump Grindings?
When we stump grind it goes below the surface 6-24 inches. It leaves a hole and a pile of grindings next to the hole. We typically backfill this hole with the grindings for safety purposes unless you are immediately planting. Once we fill the whole there is still some left over grindings. We do not haul away the grindings or spread them unless specifically discussed and included in the estimate of cost.
